I wanted to start a blog in the first year of transplant and here I am. Briefly, I am Shakuntala, also called many different names by people I know. January 2009 shook me up, when I was diagnosed with Acute Myeloid Lukemia (AML) and since then I have been fighting it, along with family and friends. My BMT was on 10-Dec-09, new life, rebirth, thanks to my unknown donor, here I am!!
